Girls‘ Day 2017: Informatik@Girls: Logisch passt das!

The Faculty of Computer Science of TU Dresden participated in this year’s Girls‘ Day on Thursday, 27. April 2017 with a variety of workshops for female pupils of grades 5 – 12. The research training group RoSI offered a hands-on workshop for girls aged between 11 and 17 years. The humanoid RoSI-robot NAO was presented by RoSI members Thomas Kühn and Christian Piechnick. The girls invented and programmed new program sequence for the NAO. They also steered the robot’s movements by Kinect. The group enjoyed this short excursion to the digital world which conveyed to them the advantages and the fun of some basic practical aspects of Computer Science.
